Welcome to Eastern Shore!

Welcome to Our Grand Opening!

How do you like our new web site design?

We've been working on this new design for several weeks and have just now taken it live. We are sure there are some kinks here and there but we wanted to get the new look online as soon as possible. Please look around and tell us what you think.

In the near future we will transfer all of our articles from the old site to this one and we will be linking in our Sunday sermons. Links on your left will take you to the various locales within the site including the Preacher's Study Blog and the Eastern Shore Beacon, our weekly church bulletin.

Members will have access to a password protected area where you will find church duty rosters, prayer lists, church financial statements and a member directory.

So look around and let us know what you think!

Let's Talk

We hope you will be our guest at the Eastern Shore church of Christ. We know that visiting a new congregation can be confusing and a little unnerving. Let's face it, you never really know what to expect until you get there.

We don't want you to be uncomfortable when you visit with us.

If you have any questions about our congregation, about our Bible classes or about our worship services, please call and ask. Your questions will never be offensive and we will be pleased to answer any question you may have. Our desire is to help you worship God in spirit and in truth.

We think you will like what you find.

Guyana Work Thrives!

The 2008-2009 school year has resumed at the Guyana Christian University in Lethem. 10 students are enrolled in the residency program. This is their second and final year and they will soon be moving into preaching positions throughout Guyana. Already, the students preach and teach almost every weekend and participate in campaigns throughout the nation.

Presently three of our men are in Guyana to participate in campaigns in Aishelton, Sand Creek and Karasabi. Please remember Mark Hocutt, Kent Purser and John Langham during their travels.

In November, Mark Jamieson will be traveling to the school to teach. This is the first of what we hope are many trips for Mark to the work with the brethren there. In December, Jimmy Bracken, a full time missionary to the Carribbean will be teaching in the school. Jimmy is supported by the Stony Point church in Florence, Alabama.
